About this portal

Hrossagrith is a fictional country, and this site is the reference portal for it.

Hrossagrith does not exist. It is an invented country. This site is a worldbuilding project and has no connection to any real state, government, ministry, agency or official body, and it does not represent or claim to represent any such organization. Nothing published here is a real law, a real regulation or a real government notice, and none of it should be relied upon as one.

Method

Two habits that shape everything here

The first is that uncertainty is preserved rather than resolved. Where the invented tradition cannot distinguish among several explanations, the text says so instead of choosing one and presenting it as settled. Where the deeper prehistory of a word is genuinely disputed, it is marked as disputed rather than converted into fact.

The second is that real constraints are respected where they apply. The linguistic analysis uses attested Old Norse morphology; the historical reconstruction works within what is plausible for Iron Age Ireland rather than against it. The invented parts are the feuds, decisions and institutions — not the grammar, and not the archaeology.

Intellectual roots

Acknowledged and adapted

The classical concept of eudaimonia is drawn from Aristotelian ethics and adapted rather than reproduced. Hrossagrið takes the conviction that flourishing is not the same as pleasure, then extends the frame well beyond human welfare and builds a political method from it.

Illustration

Where the pictures come from

The flag is the author’s own. Every other image on this portal — the state mark, the section icons, the ornaments and rules, the road-status marker drawings and the banner illustration — is original vector artwork drawn for this site. No third-party photographs or stock images are used anywhere.

The .hrs domain

Preferred branding, not an instrument in force

The Empire’s preferred national internet branding is .hrs, universally nicknamed and spoken as “dot horse”, and the desired international-facing government address is hrossagrith.gov.hrs — the address this portal would carry. Because country-code top-level domains are normally two letters, .hrs is not described as an ordinary two-letter ccTLD but as a specially established national top-level namespace, or an equivalent delegated national internet domain; the conventional ISO two-letter country code and any technical fallback ccTLD are left to be decided separately.

The suggested hierarchy puts .hrs as the national namespace, gov.hrs as the reserved government namespace and hrossagrith.gov.hrs as the principal national government portal, with subordinate public services in forms such as crown.gov.hrs, parliament.gov.hrs, health.gov.hrs, education.gov.hrs, justice.gov.hrs and rail.gov.hrs, and with tourism and independent or quasi-independent national institutions taking direct .hrs domains where appropriate. The archive records all of this as preferred branding and a suggested hierarchy rather than as an instrument in force, so it is set down here as a note about the portal and not as national law.

Status

Under construction, and saying so

Sections are published as they are written, and full texts of the imperial instruments will be added one at a time. Where a section of national life has not yet been written into the canon, this portal marks it in preparation rather than inventing an answer. Structure and wording are subject to change without notice.

Reuse. The setting, names, texts, flag and artwork of Hrossagrith are the work of their author. Please do not republish them as your own.
